Jon started motor sports in 1979 aboard a motorcycle racing at local motorcross tracks
in the Grand Junction Colorado area. After a few years of competitive racing in the novice and amateur ranks, he was ready
to make the move to the pro ranks. In 1986, while competing in an outdoor motorcross race in Craig Colorado, Jon was involved
in a spectacular accident. It left him with a broken leg, wrist, concussion, and a major shoulder separation. For the next
two months he was aboard a wheelchair, and was lucky enough to be working for a great company that let him slide from warehouse
manager into a sales position, which has turned into a 26-year career. Once healed, he headed to the off road motorcycle-racing
scene, and competed in the amateur and pro ranks with great success throughout Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and California until
taking a promotion to Loveland, Colorado in 1990.
In 1991, it marked the year that Jon traded the motorcycle racing and injuries in for
another lifelong dream of flying airplanes. Receiving his pilot's license in 1992 was one of the biggest days of his life,
with the exception of his wedding, and the birth of his three children. Owning and flying an airplane filled in for the racing
bug for almost nine years, when the itch to compete in motorsports surfaced again. While attending a Saturday night race in
2001 with his buddy Charlie Krauch(current crew member on Cup team of Furniture Row Racing), he learned about a new form of
oval pavement racing and fell in love with the Legend Cars. The next spring brought with it, his first year of learning the
fine art of racing at the Colorado National Speedway. His rookie year he managed to win the esteemed title of "Rookie
of the Year." He attained this honor against a very competitive class of drivers with the help of a real live racing crew.
From then on he was hooked. His son-in-law Dan, Dave, Bryan & Jon, made up a very skilled crew that has helped
to take him to the highest level in his series. In 2003 Jon was in the semi-pro class, where again they managed to win the
division, along with some overall wins in Salt Lake City. In 2004 Jon had another good year. He had wins at Colorado National,
Big Country in Cheyenne Wyoming, and in Salt Lake City, ending the year 4th out of 42 cars. 2005 had Jon and his team 7th
in the Nation out of 470 competitors, with numerous wins and top fives . The season finished off with a track record
in Salt Lake City(Rocky Mountain Raceway) that current Nextel cup champ Kurt Busch once held.

The team goal has and will continue to be to have fun, and to compete at the highest
level with honesty and integrity, while keeping the family involved. His family has allowed him to race and to continue to
act like a kid. Jon's family comes first in his life and he has stated, "I love them and appreciate their sacrifices for my
racing, and I would like to use this forum to acknowledge them and the many other people in my life that have made this possible."
Lisa, Sierra, and Ty Krizman, the Spoelma family, Charlie Krauch, and the numerous friends, family, and sponsors that continue
to give their support.
